About iTunes Connect

iTunesConnect is a suite of web-based tools created for developers tosubmit and manage their apps for sale in the App Store or the Mac App Store.This document describes how to use iTunes Connect before, while, and aftersubmitting an app for distribution through the store.


iTunes Connect organizesyour portfolio of store content, legal and tax documents, and contactinformation so that you can easily find and add to the material. It alsocollects status information, feedback, and earnings information provided byApple, allowing you to manage your app’s sales progress from a single place.

Note:Certain iTunes Connect pages can be viewed in languagesother than English. To change the language you see in iTunes Connect, you mustchange your language preference in your operating system settings: on a Mac, goto System Preferences and then Language & Region.

BeforeSubmitting Apps

After reading a quick overview of the iTunesConnect website, you can get started with contract requirements so that theprocess is complete by the time your app is ready for the store. Your team agent—thefirst member of your organization to register with iTunes Connect—can delegatemost of these tasks by inviting others to join the iTunes Connect organizationand configuring their accounts to have the appropriate access to iTunes Connectsections.

DuringApp Submission
The first time you submit an app to thestore, you create an iTunesConnect record for it. If the app uses any of Apple’s storetechnologies—such as Game Center or in-app purchase—you enable those servicesin the iTunes Connect record, also called an “App record.” You can also includeapp information in multiple languages to display in stores.
After you create the iTunes Connect record,you upload a build for the app.
If the app runs on iOS, you can have usersfrom your organization try it out before you submit it to the store.
Then submit your app to be reviewed. After asuccessful review, your app is put on sale in the App Store.

AfterApps Are Available on the Store
iTunes Connect provides information aboutyour app, including sales numbers, download numbers, and your earnings. You canfind information from your customers’ experience with your app, such ascustomer reviews and the top scores reported in Game Center leaderboards. Youcan also view an inventory of your apps and their configurations by runningcatalog reports.

After apps are live, you can manage storetext and images. When you update an existing app, you’ll add the new version tothe same iTunes Connect record for the app. If needed, you can remove an appfrom the store or transfer it to another organization.
